In his native Argentina, Fernando Antogna is renowned for his skills on the track. His palmares include four national championship titles – three in the individual pursuit and one in the omnium. Internationally, Fernando won silver medals at the Pan American Road and Track Championships in the individual pursuit in 2006, 2008, and 2009 and a bronze medal in 2007. In 2010, he captured a bronze medal at the South American Games in the team pursuit. Fernando has achieved outstanding results on the road as well. Riding with the Municipalidad de Chivilcoy, Camaras Colla, and Toledo teams, Fernando is the four-time winner of the Vuelta de Chivilcoy and finished second overall at the Tour de San Luis in 2007. In 2009, he won two of the seven stages of the Clasica del Oeste-Doble Bragado in Argentina and finished second overall. In his North American pro debut, Fernando will add even more firepower to Jamis/Sutter Home’s formidable lead-out train. His track experience will be an asset in criteriums and short time trials. |
